Welcome to JK Karigari (accessible at jkkarigari.jk.gov.in and via our official mobile applications), a premier digital marketplace initiative by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir established under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM).

By browsing, accessing, registering, or transacting on this platform, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and our Returns & Replacements Policy. If you disagree with any portion of these terms, please discontinue platform use immediately.

Access to certain services, purchasing, or selling on JK Karigari requires compliance with the following account criteria:

• Age Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age or possess legal capacity under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Minors may transact only under parental or legal guardian supervision.
• Account Security: You are responsible for preserving the confidentiality of your login credentials and OTP verifications. Any activity conducted under your registered account is your sole legal responsibility.
• Accurate Information: Buyers and sellers warrant that all provided contact numbers, delivery addresses, and identity credentials are true, accurate, and kept up-to-date.

JK Karigari is built on preserving centuries-old heritage crafts and empowering verified Self Help Groups (SHGs):

• Verified SHGs & Artisans: Every artisan onboarded onto JK Karigari is rigorously vetted by the District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) and local municipal authorities.
• 3-Tier Quality Inspection: Every craft undergoes inspection at creation, aggregation, and central hub dispatch to verify genuine materials (such as pure Pashmina, authentic walnut wood, hand-knotted silk, and natural papier-mâché).
• QR Code Traceability: Authentic products carry a unique serialized QR tag allowing customers to view the maker's artisan story, district of origin, and inspection certificate.

All transactions on the portal are conducted with complete transparency:

• Pricing in INR: All prices are displayed in Indian National Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless explicitly noted.
• Secure Payment Gateways: Payments are processed via RBI-licensed, PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant gateways (including Razorpay), supporting UPI, debit/credit cards, and net banking. JK Karigari does not store your card PINs or CVV numbers.
• Invoices: A valid tax invoice is generated for every completed transaction and made available for instant download in your account dashboard.

We work with trusted logistics partners (including Delhivery, Ekart Logistics, and iThink Logistics) to ensure safe transit of delicate handicrafts:

• Delivery Timelines: Typical delivery occurs within 4–8 business days depending on delivery location, artisan dispatch cycle, and weather conditions across the Kashmir valley.
• Tracking Notifications: Active tracking details and AWB numbers are dispatched via SMS/WhatsApp and updated in your order history upon parcel dispatch.
• Inspection on Delivery: Customers are advised to inspect packages upon arrival and refuse visibly tampered outer packaging.

We respect buyer rights while protecting artisan livelihoods:

• Cancellations: Orders may be cancelled before shipment from your account dashboard or by reaching support.
• Returns: Eligible items damaged in transit or significantly differing from product descriptions may be returned within our designated return window. Full criteria are outlined in our Returns Policy.
• Refund Processing: Approved refunds are credited directly back to the original source account within 5–7 business days of warehouse receipt and inspection.

We employ enterprise-grade security protocols to safeguard all interactions and transactions:

• Authentication & Encryption: Platform sessions are protected via encrypted JSON Web Tokens (JWT) and high-grade 256-bit TLS/HTTPS end-to-end encryption.
• Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT): Artisan proceeds are disbursed directly to verified SHG bank accounts to ensure transparency and eliminate commission cuts or unauthorized middlemen.
• Compliance with Indian Cyber Laws: Operations adhere to the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising from your platform engagement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Srinagar / Jammu, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
